And with every question, that answer becomes more devastating, turning from a mere echo into a sentence—the certainty that his sorrow will never end. In the final stanza, the raven remains still like an eternal omen, while the man realizes that his soul will be trapped forever in its own darkness, beneath the bird’s shadow.
